Glyn's Art for Life

Proudly Presents:
ART GROUPS, PRINTS, COMMISSIONED ART, AND MORE

Welcome

Pleased to meet you, I am Glyn and have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember eventually becoming a professional artist/tutor quite a number of years ago.

Commissioned Work

I create fine art commissioned work for a variety of subjects such as portraits, pet portraits, landscapes, still life, seascapes, flowers and buildings etc in a variety of styles and sizes.

About Me

All of my groups are very informal where the social side is as important as the art. I provide various exercises and I regularly demonstrate techniques and complete step by step compositions.

Art Groups

We provide art groups on a weekly basis at Paston & Gunthorpe Community Centre, Langtoft Village Hall and the Methodist Hall in Skegness.

Psychic Art

I run Psychic / Spirit Art workshops on occasions to help those who wish to develop this particular aspect of mediumship, although there is no necessity to be artistic to pursue this.

Testimonial 1
"I have been attending Glyn's Art for Life classes and workshops for several years. Glyn caters for all abilities and everyone is encouraged and helped to achieve their best. As well as being instructive both classes and workshops are relaxed, extremely friendly and most enjoyable. I would say to anyone who is considering joining an art group to give it a try and, from my experience, I can highly recommend Glyn as a tutor.

Testimonial 2
"Glyn's classes and work shops are very relaxed and happy occasions, but the emphasis is always on painting or drawing, usually helped by Glyn's home made cakes to go with the coffee. I strongly recommend and commend Glyn as a teacher, as an artist and as a lovely person who knows how to inspire and help you to create ART FOR LIFE.
Ian Burrows"

Testimonial 3
"Glyn's classes present us with the opportunity of challenging ourselves with different media, keeping the classes varied for those that like to try something new. Meanwhile those that are happier with their own projects can comfortably continue with any support needed. Glyn is very patient and an excellent tutor, providing constant encouragement in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere "

Pleased to meet you!

A WARM WELCOME

After many years of enjoying art as a hobby, I was encouraged to follow the pathway of a professional artist as well as a psychic artist.

Until January 2006 I held the position of Secretary to the Peterborough Art Society and exhibited at various venues including the annual Open House Studio Exhibition which is an integral part of the Peterborough Festival.

I won the Hilda Hayes Trophy for favourite painting , a watercolour landscape entitled “Rutland Water Peninsular”, held at the Peterborough Art Society Exhibition held at the Peterborough Art Gallery/Museum in November 2005.

I create art in a variety of subjects, including landscapes, contemporary, portraits and pet portraits.

Commissioned Work

WORKING WITH YOU

I create fine art commissioned work for a variety of subjects such as portraits, pet portraits, landscapes, still life, seascapes, flowers and buildings etc in a variety of styles and sizes.

Using mixed media, watercolour, pen and wash, pencil, charcoal, oils or acrylics each piece of art is painstakingly developed to get the best representation I can.

All artwork is created on the finest materials and can be presented unmounted or mounted. Sizes vary from small A5 to much larger works i.e. 150cm depending on subject, budget and requirement.

If you would like to discuss a project with Glyn please call 07538540722.

I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember eventually becoming a professional artist/tutor quite a number of years ago. My love was always sketching and illustrating with passion for painting and colour coming later. Exploring art in its various forms and mediums was always a revelation in itself, as did expressions of styles and techniques, each one with its own rewards. I was extremely pleased to win the Hilda Hayes trophy a number of years ago for a watercolour painting Rutland Water Peninsular when first becoming a member of the Peterborough Art Society, and soon after becoming the Secretary of that Society for a time.

I trained at Portsmouth College of Art in Technical Illustration in my younger years and, once I achieved the relevant qualifications, I started working for the MOD as a Technical Illustrator following a period of employment within various publication agencies.
