The last workshop held in 2021 was of a lighthouse in oils on canvass with the introduction of techniques using palette knives. The results were impressive and those new to using oils found it very enjoyable and rewarding. Prior to that workshop was the subject of a gentleman painted in the medium of acrylics on canvass (see completed painting on this page).
Workshops are also to be held in Skegness on Fridays or Saturdays between 10.00am and 3.30pm at a cost of £30pp
My last workshop of 2021 in Skegness was held on 8th October 2021 using the medium of acrylics and the subject being a guitarist was fully subscribed and a great success. I will shortly be arranging dates for 2022 workshops in Skegness to cover a large range of mediums / subjects, the dates of which I will advise as soon as the details are finalised. Please watch this space for further details.
Workshops are a great learning experience for new beginners and the more accomplished alike - truly enjoyable for any artist to discover and expand/evolve their inner potential and having fun at the same time. Each workshop is dedicated to a specific medium and subject - to be advised before each monthly workshop. I will also advise of any materials required in advance for those attending. Refreshments, ie tea / coffee / hot chocolate / biscuits and very often homemade cakes / pastries, are provided throughout the day, however please bring your own lunch.
Annual Skegness 2-day Residential Workshop
I am looking into the possibility of organising another 2-day workshop again this year. The last one was held at Southview Park Hotel on 14th/15th August 2019 prior to Covid lockdowns and proved to be a complete success as it was in previous years. As always, some very beautiful drawings and paintings were created by all to take home. Watch this space for further information for early booking.
Please call / text 07538540722 / 07941024285 if you would like to join us on any of the above classes / workshops. To secure a place on any of the forthcoming workshops please book early so as not to be disappointed as numbers are limited and these workshops prove popular.
Enhancing your audio / visual learning
My groups / classes and workshops are informal and friendly and the learning experience in the workshops are enhanced by using our audio / visual equipment. This enables us to record and playback my demonstrations for future reference and assistance. It also encourages opportunities for interaction between myself and my students as it promotes more time to grasp the subject matter and finer details (this does not replace my 'one-to-one' tutoring but adds to it), making it a more positive experience when creating and completing a piece of art to be proud of whilst also building self-confidence.
